Willow Smith gets a restraining order against the man who allegedly traveled from Oklahoma to Los Angeles to follow the star
- The 20-year-old star was given a restraining order against Walter James Whaley, 39, earlier this month.
- Now he has to stand 100 meters away and stop any attempt at communication
- Legal documents say he broke into Smith’s property in December last year, but failed to get inside the house.
- Police were called, but did not immediately apprehend Whaley
- A Greyhound ticket showing he had traveled from Oklahoma the day before was found when Whaley was searched by authorities
- Smith claims that Whaley also contacted her through social media
- According to documents, a private investigator has also established that Whaley is a convicted sex offender
Willow Smith obtained a restricted order against an obsessed fan earlier this month.
The 20-year-old singer / actress says she is being followed by 38-year-old Walter James Whaley, who traveled from Oklahoma to Los Angeles, California to follow her, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.
Now he has to stay 100 meters away from her at all times and stop trying to communicate with her.

Smith’s submissions say Whaley managed to get to her California property around Christmas, but couldn’t find her way home.
His personal security called the police in connection with the offender and, although they responded quickly, he was not taken into custody.
The document goes on to say that police found a Greyhound bus ticket on Whaley, which showed he had traveled from Oklahoma the day before.
Security cameras managed to catch the accused sneaking around the property.
Willow – who is the daughter of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith – said she was concerned about her safety in legal documents, saying she feared Whaley “would do anything to get in physical contact with me”.

Before physically following Smith, documents say that Whaley had contacted Willow on social media, professing his love and even saying that he wanted to have children with her.
The star also says that she hired a private investigator who could find out that Whaley is a convicted sex offender.
After making her acting debut in her father’s film I Am Legend at just seven years old, Willow Breakout Moment became her 2010 track Whip My Hair, which she released at just 10 years old.
