Travel restrictions on the US-Canada border were extended until May 21, 2021

DETROIT – Travel restrictions between the United States and Canada have been extended by another month.

The US-Canada border has been closed for non-essential travel since March 2020.

In December 2020, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said a ban on non-essential travel with the United States would not be lifted until COVID-19 was significantly controlled worldwide.

For people who cannot see their loved ones on both sides of the border, frustration reaches a new level.
