Tom Brady’s debut book sells for $ 1.32 million

A debut card Tom Brady sold for a record $ 1.32 million on Thursday on the PWCC Marketplace, an online auction house and a card store.

The 2000 Playoff Contenders Championship Ticket was scored eight with a 10 on the signature. It was bought by James Park, a well-known card collector and a famous Brady fan.

“I’ve lived in Boston for 10 years and so I’m a big fan of Brady,” Park said in comments on the PWCC Marketplace’s Instagram account. “I’ve also loved collecting books since I was a child. Given Brady de Goat’s undisputed status in football, this book is an important piece in the history of the sport and in any collection.”

The $ 1.32 million price is considered to be the highest price paid for a football card, eclipsing the previous record by almost $ 500,000. As the card market continues to grow in interest and value, this sale rose before a recent Patrick Mahomes card that sold for $ 861,000 in early February.

The 2017 autographed book of Muhammad of the National Treasures was marked with nine and was one of only five of that specific card. This sale broke the previous record held by another Brady card, which sold for $ 555,988 in January.

This recent record could be short-lived, given the way the industry is heading and given that there is already a similar card that is being sold at the Lelands auction house. The same Brady card is put up for auction, but is marked with 8.5, with the signature with the new grade.

The card from Lelands currently has an offer of 707,565 USD, remaining 29 days in the lot.
