Tom Brady throws the Lombardi Trophy during the Super Bowl boat parade

This was the most daring transition of Tom Brady’s career.

During the Tampa Bay Buccaneers boat parade Wednesday on the Hillsborough River to celebrate the 2021 Super Bowl victory, the 43-year-old defender tossed the Lombardi trophy on his yacht to someone on another boat.

Brady told reporters that he was enjoying the “amazing” celebration, the seventh after winning six rings with the Patriots, which saw the river full of boats.

“Does anyone work today? No way,” Brady said.

Brady didn’t just ride the yacht to a Super Bowl boat parade. He also received a police escort, with the authorities keeping his ship safe during the holiday – held in place of a traditional parade due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brady’s boat is 40 feet long and is named “Viva a Vida” – the name of his supermodel wife Gisele’s environmental conservation initiative. TMZ reported that it cost several million dollars.
