Three Tennessee football players have been arrested on drug charges following the campus incident

Three Tennessee football players have been arrested on drug charges in connection with an incident Tuesday night at a campus residence.

The second-year Martavius, a Frenchman and incoming recruits Aaron Willis and Isaac Washington are among the five people arrested on charges of simple possession and illegal drug accessories, according to the University of Tennessee police journal released Friday. University police sent a security alert following the Stokely Hall incident, described as an assault and burglary by a group of four or five men.

According to the notification, a resident of Stokely Hall was assaulted by a man, while “three to four other men entered the residence and went to another room in the apartment where it was believed that they took objects belonging to the victim.” The victim and a roommate could not identify the group that entered the room.

The Frenchman, originally from Memphis, did not play in Tennessee last season. Willis, a Baltimore linebacker, is an ESPN 300 recruit in the 2021 class. Another Tennessee student, who is not an athlete, was arrested along with an unnamed minor.

ESPN has contacted Tennessee football for comments about the arrests.
