The time is hard for the Díaz family, after the death of Salvadoran surfer Katherine. The silence before the helplessness and the pain that overwhelms them is obvious and sincere, to continue to mourn for his tragic death.
However, José “el Bamba” Díaz, his older brother, former surfer and current president of the Salvadoran Surfing Federation (Fesasurf), shared a few short words for his sister on his social networks.
On his Instagram account, “Bamba” posted a photo with Kathy’s sister. Both in El Tunco, La Libertad, smiling and with their postcard of authentic surfers. One last goodbye, to say goodbye to a high-performance athlete.

Also on his personal Facebook account, “Bamba” changed and updated his personal photo for one with his sister, who died at the age of 22, after being struck by lightning when she entered the water to navigate.
