The young Cuban musician Efrén Rubén dies in the USA

Cuban musician Efrén Rubén has died in the United States, his manager Danny Jacomino informed on Facebook.

“My brother, the artist Efrén Rubén, ceased to exist on the night of December 25 due to a (traffic) accident, about which we are not absolutely clear,” said Jacomino.

“He left us very young, with a lot to do. Please don’t speculate, you will know exactly what happened,” he added.

Efrén Rubén was part of Frank Delgado and Moneda Dura. This year he released his first solo album, It’s too much.

“My dear boy, your departure took my breath away. The light for you, Efrén Rubén,” Frank Delgado wrote on Facebook.

In August, the artist participated in the virtual ceremony of the Latin Awards Chicago, where he was recognized as Revelation Talent 2020. In December, he released the Christmas song “The Train of Joy”.

Efrén Rubén was born in Ciego de Ávila and has lived in Miami for several years. He left two daughters and his wife.
