A rooster with a razor tied to his leg killed a man during an illegal cockfight in southern India, police said, drawing attention to a practice that continues in some Indian states despite being banned by dozens of people. years.

Last week, the rooster, with a 3-inch (7.5-centimeter) knife tied to his leg, fluttered his wings in panic and cut the groin of his owner, Thangulla Satish, 45, police inspector B. Jeevan.

The incident took place in Lothunur village, Telangana state.
