As Kevin Feige and his team teased, WandaVision is a tribute to the sitcoms of yesteryear – paying homage to mid-century shows I Love Lucy, The Dick Van Dyke Show, and Charmed. In fact, it’s a sign of one of those shows where an Easter egg from The Whizzer is found. In the opening credits for “Episode 2”, which happens to be modeled after the intro for Charmed, fans noticed that a small Whizzer statue could be seen on an end table next to the sofa where Wanda and Vision are sitting.
Minor spoiler alert
While watching wandavision for the second time – I noticed at the opening of episode 2 a figure on the table next to the lamp that looks like a whizzer – also known as the man Wanda once thought her father π #Wanda #Vision #WandaVision #marvel #ScarletWitch pic.twitter.com/tHkYtkmxeO

At one point in the Marvel tradition, Robert Frank – the original Whizzer – was described as the father of Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. Pretty soon, though, like many other comic book origins, this was reconnected and changed – but someone at Marvel Studios didn’t forget.
A version of the character also appeared in the second season of the year Jessica Jones, played by Jay Klaitz. In the series, Jones assumed that Robert Coleman was a paranoid lunatic when, in fact, he had been experienced by IGH. Those experiments gave him a higher speed, which Jones soon learned.
The first two episodes of WandaVision are now airing on Disney + while all three seasons of Jessica Jones can be binged on Netflix.
