A top Republican in the House of Representatives on Sunday called for a car investigation into the big tech companies that took action this weekend against Parler, a social networking site.
“This is clearly a violation of antitrust civil rights, of the RICO status. There should be a machine investigation on all the people who coordinated this attack not only on a company, but on all those like us, like me, like you, Maria ”, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-California), a member of the House Information Committee, said Maria Bartiromo, host of Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures.
After Twitter banned President Donald Trump and other users, Parler saw his traffic explode. Soon, however, Google announced that it had removed Parler from its online store, a move followed by Apple. Amazon then announced that it was suspending Parler from its web hosting services.

Parler CEO John Matze told The Epoch Times that his company is ready to take legal action, but in the meantime authorities should investigate possible coordinated actions, Nunes argued.
“The effect of this is that there is no longer a free and open company or social networking site for any Americans to enter,” he said, as Amazon, Google and Apple “just destroyed” Parler.
“It simply came to our notice then. So, I don’t know where the hell the Justice Department or the FBI is now, “he added.
Nunes also said that the executive directors of the companies should be prosecuted. He also said he spoke with colleagues in Congress and explored their legal options. And he also called on the Supreme Court and federal judges to intervene and intervene.
The Justice Department, Apple, Google and Amazon did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
