Given the impossibility of using the Pascual Guerrero stadium at night, América de Cali manages to play at home in April and May at the Centenario de Armenia stadium, both in the Colombian League and in the Copa Libertadores.
The scarlet leaders formally requested before Imdera Armenia the loan of the sports scene and to register in front of Conmebol and Dimayor, the stadium of the capital Quindian as the venue for the commitments of the continental tournament and the League.
“Our institution does not currently have the availability of the Pascual Guerrero stadium in Cali, as the public knows, this stadium was intervened in its electrical part, which makes it impossible to play at night,” says the communication dated May 24 and signed by Tulio Gómez, legal representative of the American institution.
It is not the first time that Scarletii is looking for the Armenian stadium to play their matches there. They have already managed to play several league matches in the Centenary in the past.
At the beginning of next week, the Armenian sports authorities, together with the mayor’s office in that city, are expected to respond to the request for the distribution of the scarlet.
America, for the time being, plays its league matches during the day. Let us remember that Pascual intervened for the Copa América 2021.
