The senator of the Popular Democratic Party (PPD), Javier Aponte Dalmau, confirmed that the former legislator Fernando Tonos withdrew from the contract he would have awarded in this four-year term after the criticism for being convicted of corruption in the past.
Aponte said on Noti Uno 630 that Tono’s employment in the Senate is no longer working, but he will be replaced by former popular legislator Charlie Hernández.

Regarding the reaction of the citizens to the Tonos contract, Senator Aponte Dalmau accused the Puerto Ricans of being hypocritical because “it does not offer a second chance”.
