The daughter of the Lombardi Trophy designer wants an apology from Tom Brady

Tom Brady’s throwing of the Lombardi trophy, which went viral on Wednesday, did not go well with a woman in Fort Myers, Florida, who said the throwing was an insult to her family’s legacy.

“I was just upset that this trophy was ashamed and disrespected by being thrown away like real football,” Lorraine Grohs told Fox4.

During the Buccaneers’ boat ride on the Hillsborough River to celebrate Tampa Bay’s 2021 Super Bowl victory over the Chiefs, the 43-year-old defender tossed the Lombardi Trophy from someone’s yacht onto another boat.

This upset Grohs, who is the daughter of Greg Grohs, the silver master at the Tiffany and Company from 1967 to 1994, who created the first Vince Lombardi Trophy.

She said that seven times the Super Bowl champion does not respect the trophy and the people who work on it.

“I have a great history of this trophy made by my father and it is such an honor and I know all the craftsmen who made it when my father was there at Tiffany’s and it takes a lot of hard work,” said Grohs.

Now, Grohs wants Brady to say he’s sorry.

“I would personally like to apologize, not only to me, my family and the other silversmiths, but also to the fans, to all the football fans, to the other players of the team,” she said.

Groh told the network that throwing Brady’s trophy made her so upset that she had sleepless nights because she treated her father’s passion for the trophy so lightly.

“I saw this trophy being made at the Tiffany’s factory and it’s a beautiful trophy,” Grohs said. “My father had to sew. We had to sew by hand. There’s a newspaper article that shows him working on that trophy. The ball is formed by hand and the base is the same. Grohs explained.

Grohs, who said he is not a big football fan, is always waiting for the end of the Super Bowl, so he can watch the celebration of the Lombardi Trophy, which will be the winner of the Super Bowl.

“I’m just watching the game to see how the trophy turns out,” she said. “I like to see all the owners and football players just hold it with such pride and support it and show it to everyone and I get goosebumps. … Like now, I have goosebumps. ”

Brady also attracted more attention when he needed the help of an escort to walk, while returning to land after the parade full of boats.

But it looks like Brady is done with his party and is ready to go back to work.

On Saturday, he worked again with coach Alex Guerrero, according to a photo posted by TB12 Sports on Twitter. This included the hashtag # EyesOn8.
