WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The head of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Tuesday approved an order to extend coronavirus testing requirements to almost all international air travelers since January 26, sources told Reuters.

The new rules will require all passengers aged 2 and over to obtain negative COVID-19 test results within three calendar days of travel. The CDC will consider temporary exemptions from testing requirements for travelers from some countries with little or no testing capacity, the sources said.
