Taylor Swift gave props to her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles at the 2021 Grammy Awards, while accepting the award for best solo pop performance.
The “Folklore” singer was seen on the video nodding in support by Styles, with whom she dated from the fall of 2012 until their breakup in January 2013. Her song “Style”, from the album “1989”, is about the former singer One Direction and it is said that “Out of the Woods” is about their romance.
It is said that the song One Direction “Perfect” and Styles’ solo song “Two Ghosts” are about their relationship.
Both Styles, 27, and Swift, 31, were nominated for the category – Styles won the “Watermelon Sugar” award, while Swift was nominated for a “cardigan.”
Swift had done “cardigan,” “August,” and “willow” before the Styles Award.
Before winning, Styles left his tongue in his pockets, opening the show in a custom Gucci leather suit – no shirt underneath and a green feather boa – to perform “Watermelon Sugar.”
Always a fashion rebel, he also wore a Gucci banana necklace with a phallic symbol next to his signed cross. The sold-out fruit style (which normally costs $ 450) is described by the designer as sending “a message about leaving behind the old rules of fashion” and “portraying this uninhibited freedom of expression.”
