On Tuesday’s “The Late Show,” Taylor Swift insisted that her 2008 song “Hey Stephen” wasn’t about Colbert, though she seemed to know a lot about the comedian.
And don’t be fooled by Colbert’s visionary painting for the song; says the song was actually about a completely different Stephen.
“Don’t flatter yourself. My song “Hey Stephen” is no more about you than my album “1989” is in that year when you spent lunch waiting at Scoozi, an Italian restaurant in the north of Chicago sliced pizza with truly incredible, ”Swift said.
But Colbert didn’t have it.
“No matter how much you insist that ‘Hey Stephen’ is not about me, I still have a strong feeling that it is,” he said.
Swift remarked that he had to work alone.
