Sophie Turner shared her thoughts on Taylor Swift’s new song “Mr. Perfectly Fine ”, which the singer wrote in 2008, the same year she met Joe Jonas.
“It’s not a bop,” wrote the 25-year-old actress, who married Jonas in May 2019, on Instagram Story, on Wednesday, along with a clip of the song’s lyrical video.
Swift, 31, quickly noticed Turner’s compliment, which he posted back to his account moments later.
“Bend your knee forever [Queen] from the North, ”she added, referring to a nickname for Emmy nominee Sansa Stark’s Game of Thrones character.
Turner’s reaction was surprisingly mild, given that so many fans speculated that Swift’s harsh lyrics were about 31-year-old Jonas, that his name evolved on Twitter for several hours on Wednesday morning.
The song is one of many that Swift released from the “safe” to promote the next re-recorded version of her 2008 album, “Fearless”. His lyrics include: “Hello, Mr. Perfectly Fine / How is your heart after breaking me? / Sir Always in the right place, at the right time, darling / Hello, Mr. Casual Cruel / Mr. Everything revolves around you / I was Miss Messy goodbye / And you are Mr. Perfect Fine.
While the Grammy winner did not confirm that Jonas was her mysterious muse, she suggested on Twitter that “Mr. Perfectly Fine ”is based on a true story, as opposed to the“ fiction-based songs to avoid drama ”from his 2020 albums,“ Folklore ”and“ Evermore ”.
Swift and member Jonas Brother reportedly dated from July to October 2008. After their breakup, she claimed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that he abandoned her during a 27-second phone call.
Jonas later claimed in a letter to fans that it was Swift who shut her down.
“Phone calls can only last as long as the person at the other end of the line is willing to talk,” he said at the time.
Swift admitted in 2019 that he regretted blowing up Jonas and he forgave her.
