Last year, Paul McCartney decided to use his time in quarantine to do so McCartney III, registered by itself. But that gets a little lonely, so he invited some friends to be part of a new version called McCartney III Imagine, released on April 16.

This reinterpreted version features the covers of some very interesting names, the former Beatle proving that he keeps up with the children these days: Phoebe Bridgers (Take this, David Crosby!), St. Vincent, Damon Albarn, Blood Orange, Anderson. Paak, Josh Homme, Dominic Fike, Khruangbin, EOB and 3D RDN. Sorry, Swifties – as much as Taylor Swift and McCartney are friends, will not lend his voice McCartney III Imagine. But, as a consolation, there is an Idris Elba remix that is an exclusive physical release piece. It’s basically the same thing, isn’t it?

The first single from the album of reinvented covers is the interpretation of Dominic Fike in “Kiss of Venus”, transforming the acoustic ballad into an R&B song.
