No screaming on roller coasters according to the California COVID-19 plan

Theme parks in Southern California will be open as early as next month, but those looking for thrills may be forced to bite their tongues as they ride their favorite mountain ranges.

The California Amusement and Parks Association is behind a plan that would encourage riders to remain silent as they spin in the air on mountain ranges to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

The Golden State reopening guidelines call on businesses to limit activities such as singing or shouting to stop the spread of the deadly virus.

Under the proposal, amusement parks such as Disneyland, Universal Studios and Six Flags could be opened at limited capacity, and owners will be asked to keep their enthusiasm for them while traveling.

“The use of face covering and / or changes to seat loading patterns will be necessary in amusement parks to mitigate the effects of shouting,” CAPA wrote in its Responsible Reopening Plan. “In addition, when walking, guests generally face in one direction.”

According to the plan, the groups would be limited to a maximum of 10 people from at most three households. The inner mass would be forbidden.
