A tradition in all sporting events that take place in the United States is the intonation, in the previous one, of the national anthem of this country, something that will take a break in National Basketball Association (NBA), all thanks Dallas Mavericks and its controversial owner, the businessman Mark Cuban.
The businessman revealed them athletic which issued an express order which all games played at American Airlines Center, in the state of Texas, the song of the homeland is not played Star banner, and that this position will remain unchanged throughout the current 2020-2021 season.

The Mavericks will not sing the national anthem
“Hymn policies have gotten out of hand in America. If you want to complain, complain to your boss and ask him why he doesn’t sing the anthem every day you start working.”, said then the owner.
However, It’s not the first time the Mavericks haven’t sung the United States anthem, because when they arrived in the NBA from 1980 to 1996, they preferred to play the song God bless America, something that changed in the mid-90s, which remained until the past pre-season.
So far, Dallas is the first team to adopt this drastic position, which has not been followed by the rest of the franchises and it seems difficult for others to follow suit.
