Kyrie Irving loses the 4th game in a row for personal reasons and it is not known when he will return

NEW YORK – Kyrie Irving’s return to the Brooklyn Nets remains a mystery, and coach Steve Nash said Monday he has no information about his player.

The Nets ruled out goalie Irving for Monday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, as well as Tuesday’s game against the Denver Nuggets, which will be his fourth for personal reasons. Nash said it was a private matter, without going into details about Irving’s absence.

Nash said he understood Irving had a coronavirus test on Sunday, but did not know if he did it on Monday.

It will be up to Irving to continue the diagnostic tests in his absence to determine how quickly he can join the team.

The Nets lost two of their three games without Irving. Kevin Durant missed two of them in NBA sanitation protocols for COVID-19, reappearing Sunday in a 129-116 loss to Oklahoma City.
