Joe Biden’s family still deserves the name

President Joe Biden’s “should not be used in connection with any commercial activity to imply, or in any way that could reasonably [be] understood to imply, its approval or support ”: So a White House official told the press last month about the background. But it seems some Bidens did not get the memo.

Biden’s brothers Jim and Frank have been trading under the family name for decades, and son Hunter more recently joined, cashing in on their supposed ability to get favors from Joe. And it has not stopped.

Frank Biden appeared in an ad from a Florida law firm – no less on inauguration day – using the president’s name to draw attention to the Berman Law Group’s class-action lawsuit against sugar cane growers: environmental issues to the fore The ad asserted emphatically.

And Hunter’s latest effort is a memoir about his struggles with addiction, “Beautiful Things,” due out April 6. The president paints it as a personal triumph for his son – ‘My boy is back,’ he shouted to CBS ‘Nora O’ Donnell – but would a book company publish these memoirs (and reportedly pay a lot of money for it) if Hunter’s father didn’t was president?
