Hilary Duff admits breastfeeding newborn Mae was a “really hard” experience: it’s “simply painful.”
She gave birth to her third child less than a month ago.

The 33-year-old actress did not have the easiest journey when it comes to feeding her newborn daughter Mae and said that the whole experience was “very difficult” physically and emotionally.

Duff noted that all of her children were quick to get stuck, but her production levels always caused some concern.
“I’d say it was the easiest with Luke.” All babies fit very well, I’m just not a huge milk producer, so it’s emotional for me, ”she said. “In fact, this is the first child I haven’t completed yet, so I just breastfed her exclusively. I’ll keep trying this for a few weeks.

She added: “It’s just still painful and hard, and it’s even harder to have the other two who I know need me so much, and that takes up so much of the day.
“It seems that every 20 minutes I feed the baby and I have to stay in one place, and Banks is not old enough to understand, even if it was amazing with the baby. It’s just hard.

“Right now, I don’t know that I don’t produce as much as I need to, but I think that since I haven’t done it, I have a lot of anxiety that I don’t have and that it doesn’t saturate, and then I’m in my head, and then I don’t feel like it, and then the spiral continues from there, ‘she said.
Trying to give her grace, she remarked: “I am not yet in the third week, so I have to sit down and cool down and trust that my body is doing the right thing. And he gets fat.
