GameStop, BlackBerry, Kimberly-Clark: What to look for when the stock market opens today

Here’s what we’ve been looking for before Monday’s opening bell.

Over time, US futures stocks have changed little, although technology stocks have risen before a successful week in earnings, investors expecting results from companies such as Apple, Tesla and Facebook.

S&P 500 futures fell less than 0.1%, while Nasdaq-100 contracts rose 0.9%.

Earnings are due from Steel Dynamics and Hexcel after closing.

World Economic Forum is hosting a virtual summit this week. Chinese President Xi Jinping’s speech at 7 in the morning on ET highlights today’s agenda. Monday’s panels include European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde on restoring economic growth at 11 a.m. and Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey on digital currencies at 12 p.m.
