This Saturday, four days before Joe Biden comes to power, U.S executed Dustin Higgs in Indiana, the last federal death row inmate to receive the lethal injection under President Donald Trump.
Higgs was the 13th federal inmate to be executed at the federal level in six months since the Trump administration resumed executions of federal death row inmates in July 2020.
Dustin Higgs has been convicted of this order the murder of three women in the Washington DC area., in 1996 and Until his death, he denied committing the murders.
According to Higgs’s attorneys, the man who shot in that case, Willis Haynes, bypassed the death penalty and was instead sentenced to life imprisonment.

The organization also noted that the ten executions completed at the federal level in the past year made 2020 the year most federal death sentences were carried out in 125 years.
