Charges are being made against the person responsible for the massacre of young people in Caguas

Justice Secretary Domingo Emanuelli Hernández and Caguas prosecutor Aracelys Pérez reported that Judge María Rojas Delgado of the Caguas Court of First Instance has established the probable cause of arrest of William David Marcano Hernández, 47, for the triple crime of his three 19-year-olds from Caguas.

He was also charged with attempted murder and violation of the Weapons Law.

Judge Rojas Delgado set a $ 2,750,000 bail against Marcano Hernández, who is on the list of most wanted in Caguas jurisdiction by Puerto Rican police for a double felony he committed in 2018.

The investigation was led by prosecutor Ana María Martínez Orama in coordination with Officer Lizandra Aponte Rodríguez of the CIC Caguas Homicide Division of the Puerto Rico Police Office.

The events took place on the night of January 19 in the old Moisty Skate and Family Park.

As it turned out, the young men were in the abandoned park when the defendant caught them and shot them with a firearm, killing three of them.

Marcano Hernández was charged with three counts of violating Article 93 Crime; two charges for attempted murder of Article 93; a fee for violating Article 6.05 Unlicensed transport, transport or use of firearms; and five fees for 6.14 Firearms firing or aiming.

Marcano Hernández was sent to prison because he did not post bail.

The preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 8, 2021.
