11 arrested for rape and killing of a Filipino flight attendant have been released, the brutal crime committed at a New Year’s Eve party | News from El Salvador

The Makati prosecutor’s office warned that there was not enough evidence to establish that it was sexual abuse and urged the Flipinas Police to strengthen the investigation of the case.

The 11 detainees referred to the rape and death of the flight attendant Christine Angélica Dacera they were released for lack of evidence against them.

The murder of Christine Angélica was committed during a New Year’s Eve party at the luxurious City Garden Hotel in Makati, Philippines.

According to local media, such as The Philippine Daily Inquirer, the young woman, who worked at Philippine Airlines, attended a party at the hotel with a group of friends and then the celebration continued in one of the hotel rooms.

The next morning, one of the assistants got up and saw her in the empty tub, asleep. “He covered her with a blanket and let her rest,” the police report said.

At 10 o’clock in the morning on the first day of 2021, the same person, who a few hours earlier had covered her with a blanket, noticed that the young woman was “turning blue” and called 911, but all efforts were in vain.

However, a few hours after the arrests, the 11 involved were released due to the Makati prosecutor’s office. He warned that there was not enough evidence to establish that it was an infringement and urged Flipinas police to step up the investigation.

“In the same way, if a crime was committed, the person responsible has not yet been determined by other evidence,” warned the resolution of the Prosecutor’s Office, quoted by “CNN Philippines”.
