Zidane’s team bus is stoned upon arrival at Anfield

Although the reception was generally quiet at first, with the British police escort, several fans threw stones.

The Real Madrid bus was stoned upon arrival at Anfield by fans who gathered around the stadium to await the arrival of both teams.

The bus from Real, which ended with a broken window, appeared on one of the streets parallel to Anfield just over an hour and a half before the start of the match.

Although the reception was generally quiet, with the escort of the British police, several fans threw stones at the bus, in addition to flooding the environment with rockets emitting red smoke.

The Real Madrid bus was the first to appear on one of the tracks, and hundreds of fans, most without masks and without respecting safety distances, chanted the Spanish team and lit a few flares.

The climax, however, was when, a few minutes later, an hour and a half before the start of the match, the red bus of the English appeared.

The red smoke flooded the street and barely made it possible to distinguish the entrance of the vehicle, well escorted by police.

Even so, the pandemic prevented the repetition of much more massive receptions, such as those produced in the same scenario in preparation for the return against Barcelona in 2019 and when Atlético de Madrid gathered them in 2020.

Liverpool, who will try to overcome the 3-1 that they bring from a disadvantage of the first stage, was received minutes later, with the only incident of the appearance of numerous missiles.
