“We are proud to play in this stadium!”: Zinedine Zidane gives back to Jurgen Klopp after the Liverpool boss criticized Real Madrid for organizing a match in the quarterfinals of the Champions League at their training ground arena 6,000 capacities.
Zidane Zidane rushed to Jurgen Klopp after the Liverpool boss lamented Real Madrid’s decision to host the Champions League quarter-finals at their modest 6,000-capacity stadium.
Madrid played throughout the pandemic at the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium in Valdebebas due to the development work carried out on the famous Santiago Bernabeu, however Klopp was an exception after the match.
After the 3-1 defeat, Klopp noted that Liverpool will hold at least the second stage inside a “suitable stadium”, but Zidane has now told himself and insists that he has no opinion on what his counterpart thinks.

Klopp told reporters during his post-match press conference: “It was weird tonight because it was very difficult with the stadium (at training in Madrid), but Anfield is at least a suitable stadium and will be good for we.
“It must be a very difficult task for Real Madrid at Anfield,” Klopp added.
When told about Klopp’s words, Zidane simply told reporters in Spain after the final whistle: “I have no opinion on what Jurgen is saying, we are proud to play in this stadium.
‘Liverpool is the opponent and we know they will leave everything they have on the field, I have no question about that.

“Anfield is at least a suitable stadium and it will be good for us,” Klopp said of the return
‘We just have to be prepared and it will be a very good match from the second stage. We will have to do the same in the second stage.
The Frenchman added: “We are satisfied with the result, but we did not win anything.
“We are happy with the performance and what the players have done is huge after many difficulties in our season.”
Liverpool are in shape when it comes to reversing deficits against Spanish opponents, after needing four goals to beat Barcelona in the 2019 semi-finals.
The Reds were defeated 3-0 at the Nou Camp, thanks to a sublime performance by Lionel Messi, although they somehow managed to get a 4-0 reverse victory at Anfield, despite missing both Mohamed Salah and of Roberto Firmino.

Much of the victory was due to Anfield’s roaring atmosphere, which will be absent next week as Madrid once again block the horns with Klopp’s men.
The winners of the draw will face either Chelsea or Porto in the semifinals.
Chelsea are currently leading the game after a crucial 2-0 victory in Portugal on Wednesday night, with goals from Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell.
