“You’re not the woman I thought you were”

Rapper Migos Quavo addressed the recent news about the end of his relationship with Saweetie.

The 29-year-old artist joined Twitter hours after her ex confirmed their breakup on the platform, where she suggested she left over infidelity.

“I know you want to turn this into a show, so I’ll just play my part this time,” he answered Friday night. “Normally, I don’t put my business there, especially my personal life. I feel the need to address this so that there are no false narratives. ”

“I had love for you and I was disappointed that you did all this. You’re not the woman I thought you were. I wish you nothing but the best. ”

While a few commas would have helped for reasons of clarity, many fans were amazed by the rapper who expressed his “disappointment” in his ex, refusing to clarify the assumptions that he cheated.

“How will you play the victim when your ass is wrong?” wrote a follower, while added another, “LMFAOOOOOO how do you cheat and be the one disappointed because she left?”

Saweetie, 27, confirmed the couple’s separation on Friday afternoon after a week of speculation.

“I’m alone,” she said clearly in a message to fans. “I endured too much betrayal and suffered behind the scenes to circulate a false narrative that degrades my character. Gifts do not help scars and love is not real when intimacy is given to other women. ”

“I checked emotionally a long time ago,” she continued in a second tweet, “and I left with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of ascension. ”
