Mexico City /
Edwin Cardona, an old acquaintance of Mexican football passing through Rayados, Pachuca and Xolos, He explained the “cabal” he has when he kisses the ball, every time he is about to throw freely.
And it is the fact that the talented Colombian player made that gesture again before charging in a shot that ended with a wonderful goal in Boca Juniors’ 7-1 shot against Velez Sarsfield this Sunday.
Although it is not strange that footballers have that gesture, this attitude attracted attention in Argentina, so Cardona responded to that.
“You have to caress the ball, it’s what gives us everything. It gives me a lot of joy, it’s my job, it’s what I love. I think the ball can’t be abused“.
During this Sunday’s game, Cardona made it 2-0 for Boca, with the shot in which he chose to go under the barrier and take advantage of the fact that the players jumped. He even revealed that he told Carlos Tevez where to shoot.
“When I took the ball I told Carlitos (Tevez) that I was going to hit him from below. He told me to hit him with confidence. He knew the barrier would jump, he scored a beautiful goal. I dedicate it to my family and to God“, compiled Olé newspaper.
