I love when games give me the option to pet your dog and, surprisingly, you can pet Plaguehounds Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarZombie mode. But unless you use a certain weapon effect, you would never know that you had the option to stroke them.

Die Maschine’s plaguehounds are special round-based enemies that attack in waves, which are almost exactly like the hounds found in previous iterations of Zombies. Zombie dogs are not known for their good temperament, but if you can turn one into an ally for a short time, Cold war it will give you the option to caress the good doggo.

Caressing a Plaguehound on Die Maschine requires a few steps, but all the easy goals that the game guides you at the beginning are. You will need to turn on the power and forge the Pack-A-Punch machine, which is the iconic Zombies device used to improve weapon damage. Pack-A-Punch can also be used to apply another type of ammunition to the weapon. There are four effects of ammo to choose from, but you will need to select Brain Rot if you want to indulge in some caresses.

With the Brain Rot equipped with the weapon, the bullets have the chance to turn a zombie or a dog into an ally for a short time. Simply use the Brain Rotted weapon during a round of Plaguehounds and you should get at least one dog to become docile. Then you will have the option to interact (Square on PlayStation) with Plaguehound. The effect lasts only about 10-15 seconds, so you need to act quickly to caress the good dog. You also receive 50 caress bonus points. Don’t try to stroke Plaguehounds without using brain rot, as it will probably end in your death.

It is not clear if comfort is a feature that has been zombies ever since Cold warlaunch or one added with last week’s Content Update Season 1, but I like the option of making temporary friends with a zombie dog.
