The receiver left the field of play after injuring his hand in the wrong tip, after which he was seen with obvious pain. Sánchez’s injury adds another concern for “Mules”, who had difficult days at the beginning of the 2021 MLB season.
Gary Sánchez suffered a hand injury that took him out of the game between the New York Yankees and Tamoa Bay Rays on Saturday, April 17, from the regular program of the MLB 2021 season.
Sanchez hit the right hand in a wrong tip and, although he was caught for the rest of the half and later took the baton, he had to be replaced by Kyle Higashioka at the top of the fifth half.
The injury worried the Bronx team and after he left the game he underwent the appropriate tests, which determined that he was suffering from a contusion on his index and middle fingers; and, although the x-rays came out negative, he is in an everyday situation.
The New York Yankees and Gary Sánchez had the start of the MLB 2021 season, because after 17 days of starting they managed to win only five games and lost eight times, ranking last in the east of the American League.
