After a few chaotic weeks on SmackDown between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens, it all came to a Last Man Standing match at the Royal Rumble for the Universal Championship. Adam Pearce successfully brought Owens to this place after some contract tricks, and now it’s time for Owens to do his part and put Reigns down. Owens came out first, then Roman Reigns hit the entrance ramp with Paul Heyman next to him, although no Jey Uso is interesting enough.
Owens even attacked Reigns, but Reigns eliminated a Superman Punch and knocked Owens down shortly after. Owens got to his feet and avoided a spear from Reigns with a big shot, then hit Reigns with a pop-up bomb, but Reigns got to his feet at number 4.
Reigns then caught Owens, but Owens rose to his feet and threw Reigns into the ring pole. Reigns turned him over and first threw him on Owens’s shoulder in the steel steps. Reigns followed this with a spear that sent him hard to the ground.
Reigns waited for Owens to get up and then raised the steel steps, hitting them in Owens. He picked them up again and hit Owens in the face, sending him to the ground. Reigns kicked him again, sending Owens once more. Owens stood up and slapped Reigns in the face, knocking him down and taking his steps.
Owens slammed Reigns’ face on the stairs three times and then threw him several times at the LED screens. Reigns stood up and Owens hit him first in several LED screens and then kicked him in the face. Owens then went to lift the steel steps and slammed them into Reigns, sending him to the equipment table.
Owens then climbed in and grabbed a chair, but Reigns hit him in the eye. Reigns hit Owens with a chair in the ribs, but Owens fought back. They will exchange attacks until Owens hits Reins in the face with a huge blow, then grabs a chair and hits Reigns in the knee and legs, followed by a blow on Reigns’ back. Reigns returned the favor with several attacks that left Owns injured and then Reigns tried to push Owens to the edge, but Owens stunned him and sent him spinning to the edge. Reigns hit Owens with a Superman Punch and then threw Owens into the tables, breaking them in half.
However, Owens got up on time. Owens, however, felt the pain and went behind the scenes for an unknown reason. He kept walking until he came across the backstage training ring. Suddenly, the gentlemen came in a golf cart, hitting it in Owens, and the collision broke the windshield.
Owens fell, but rose to 9, and Reigns then punched him. Owens rose to number 8 again, and before Reigns could attack him again, Owens punched him, then a pop-up force bombarded him en masse. Owens then climbed up and sprayed Reigns, breaking the table in the process. Reigns had just invented it at number 9, and his legs were spaghetti at the time.
Owens sent Reigns again and then grabbed a ladder. Owens slammed the stairs in front of Reigns, leaving him on a table. Owens then got into a forklift and picked up a pallet. Then he picked up the paddle and climbed on top of it, jumping and hitting Reigns and smashing the table below. The referee started the count, and Owens stood up, and Reigns rose to the count of 9, but he felt fast.
Owens continued to drag Reigns into the concession area, and Reigns was bleeding in several places. Owens fired Reigns again into the ring, and the referee started counting again. Reigns would defeat him, but then turn the tables and slam Owens through the LED screen. He was almost counted, but he left the stage and got to his feet, beating the number to 9.
Roman then handcuffed him and tried to secure Owens, but Owens stopped her and hit Reigns in a light pole. Owens then handcuffed Reigns to the light structure. Then he was about to be counted, but Reigns hit the referee in the post and eliminated him before he could count.
Then he hit Owens with a small blow, sending him to the ground, and then Heyman came out to handcuff him, but a new referee came out and started counting. After a while (a long time when the referee stopped counting because it took so long) Heyman managed to get Reigns out and once he did, he went instantly and applied a guillotine to Owens. , which seemed destroyed.
The referee started the count and that was all he wrote for Owens.
