Would Matt Canada choose the Dolphins over the Steelers?

With the news on Thursday that the Pittsburgh Steelers were not renewing the contract of offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner, attention is now focused on who will be his replacement. We have highlighted some potential replacements, with the current coach of Pittsburgh quarterback Matt Canada at the top of the list.

There is also some news that Canada is on the Miami Dolphins’ radar to be their next offensive coordinator.

This means that Canada could make a decision between the Steelers and the Dolphins for its big promotion. If we connect the points and look at them from this perspective, what would Canada do to select the Steelers over the Dolphins?

I suppose it would be tradition and loyalty in the first place. The Steelers brought Canada last season to coach the team’s defenders, hoping he would inject his creative offensive philosophies into the University of Maryland’s Steelers offensive.

But beyond that, I don’t see where the Steelers job is more appealing. Unless Canada is looking forward to the challenge of a minimum of two years of rebuilding, with more questions than answers to the defender. The Dolphins have had a major change this season and have their young defender in his place and are well on their way to rebuilding.

But I want to send you the question. If Canada has a choice between the two jobs, which one do you think it will take? Tell us in the comments.
