A night to remember is a new search created by fans The Wizard 3, established after the events of Blood and wineand while I’m eager to check out new writing and new battles, I’m also interested in the AI technology used here to simulate the branded sounds of Geralt’s voice actor Doug Cockle.
The mode uses a technology called CyberVoice, which is able to simulate Geralt’s voice (of course, already monotonous) to a degree that sprinted for the credits of this mode to wonder, shit, did Cockle actually manage to do this?
I mean, watch this trailer, it’s damn close!
CyberVoice is a technology similar to Tacotron, which I recently highlighted because it did almost the same thing when it allowed a team of moderators to use voice actors who sounded like members of the original Skyrim distribution.
While this is impressive, it is also potentially a legal minefield waiting to happen, because what these services do is essentially allow people to reproduce the performance of an actor without their permission or have to pay or sign a contract.
