Winter Park reports the largest outbreak of coronavirus in the Colorado ski area, with 109 cases

The mountain continues to function normally, Winter Park spokeswoman Jen Miller said in an email.

“We have strict quarantine and isolation procedures for employees and a zero tolerance policy for any employee who violates quarantine or isolation orders,” Miller wrote.

Employee hotspots are rising as the season progresses and the mountain crowds increase. The first major snow pit brought a lot of skiers and snowboarders to the state resorts last weekend, leading to long lifting lines that went viral. More snow is expected for the president’s holiday weekend.

In total, there are 13 active outbreaks in the ski resorts, which is defined as two or more cases. The second largest total after Winter Park is the Monarch ski resort, with 17 cases. Steamboat, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, Keystone and Copper Mountain all have active outbreaks.
