Game developer Anders Lundbjörk has released a delightful video that imagines what The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt it could have looked like it was released for the original PlayStation in the 1990s, rather than for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2015. Specifically, Lundbjörk raised the infamous tub scene for its imagined PlayStation release with a few selected changes . While the PS1 version of Geralt of Rivia seems to be as good in Gwent as its PS4 counterpart, part of its dialogue seems more in line with the ’90s.
If this sounds familiar, this may be because it’s not the first time the game’s developer has taken a Projekt Red CD title and imagined what it might look like on the original PlayStation. His version of 2077. Cyberpunk for PS1 it had a lot of traction at the end of last year and for a good reason. While Lundbjörk’s creations are not exact, the individual replicas of real video games, they absolutely carry the spirit – and, in some cases, the wild errors – found in the real ones.
I’ve been working on a new PS1 video for the last few weeks. It should be done tomorrow! #The Wizard #ScreenshotS Saturday pic.twitter.com/Nna79KlnVX
