The problem grew in such a way that the company had to increase production so that the final number of ketchup sachets reaches $ 12 billion a year to meet demand.
Steve Cornell, a spokesman for Kraft Heinz, said the company needs to make strategic manufacturing investments at the start of the pandemic. to meet the accelerated demand for individual ketchup packages due to increased home delivery or take out food.
To this is added the fact that even customers who today decide to stay to eat at restaurants They use the sachets as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
