Along with the launch Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Rage, Nintendo has announced a new edition of the Switch for launch February 12, 2021. As you can see above, Nintendo Switch – Mario Red & Blue Edition features a two-tone color scheme reminiscent of the mascot installer’s signed work clothes.
The contents of this new switch package contain all the standard gubbins you get with a new Switch console, as well as a few additional options. Beside a red switch and dock, which add a red pair of Joy-Con with blue belts (well, the straps themselves are red and white with a little yellow button) and a blue Joy-Con grip, you will also receive a Mario Red & Blue Edition Carrying Case (with a little yellow zipper) and a screen saver to keep your new console in top condition.
It’s an attractive design and is the first time the regular Switch (not just the dock) is available in anything other than boring black. If this new delivery proves to be even half as popular as the special edition Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch, they will quickly disappear from the shelves.
