The Cuban comedian Ulysses Toirac has once again charged against the current reality of Cuba in its social networks, questioning, in an ironic and hilarious way, the illusory and enthusiastic situation described by National Television News (NTV) Cuban, when the country confronts one of the worst economic crises in its most recent history.
“I am tired of people, I’m sorry. Call me a traitor or whatever! I’M LEAVING THIS COUNTRY. Where were the immigration procedures to live in NTV? “, The comedian wrote on Facebook on Saturday.
The perfect world counterpart described by NTV, with its gigantic economic development projects in Mariel and the sacrifice of happy and prosperous people, are the lack of commodities, the lines of buying food, the repression of those who think differently and economic inflation.
To such an extent, what is described by NTV has become so far removed from what is happening on the streets of Cuba that Ulises Toirac has made many Cubans laugh, suggesting that NTV is a country other than the island.
Posting the host in the classic comedy show And what makes you laugh?, has already generated over 100 comments and over 700 reactions on Facebook.
User José Miguel Pascual Martí recalled some verses from the historical song of Carlos Varela, Politics does not fit in with sugar: “Many years ago, Varela said it in a song” … everyone wants to live on the news, there is nothing missing and no money is needed … “”.
Some have simply said, “This is the best country,” or invited Cubans to go “there,” referring to NTV in an ironic way.
Others went further and commented with humor and inner jokes: “Move for Mariel! Earlier, Ulises Toirac had joked about the lack of cigarettes on his social networks and, even today, NTV broadcast an extensive report on the government’s “achievements” in the port of Mariel.
Always laughing, Ulises Toirac was very critical of the political and economic situation that Cubans are going through, due to the mismanagement of the country’s resources by its leaders and the crisis generated by COVID-19.
In December, the Cuban comedian wrote a hilarious letter to Santa Claus commenting on the country’s reality.
