What the Dominican government says about the violence in the Capitol

The Dominican government condemned the acts of violence that took place this afternoon in the United States Capitol, in which at least one person was killed.

He said the facts run counter to the great democratic tradition that prevails in that country.

“We are making the most energetic call for an end to violence and peaceful transfer of power,” said part of a tweet published tonight by the State Department.

During the protests a woman was shot and transferred from an emergency with a major bleeding from legislative headquarters. Later died.

Hundreds of protesters forcibly entered Capitol headquarters, action that lasted hours and caused tension.
