What free agents remain in the needed positions of packers?

Green Bay packers were reassured in the first week of free agency, the result of limited ceiling space and excessive spending so often involved in the first few waves.

More than likely, packers will eventually get involved and add at least one veteran, helping to provide a short-term solution to a need.

What free agents are left for packers? Here’s a look at the top remaining free agents in the team’s starting positions since Sunday morning:

Demolition: The Packers did not re-sign Kevin King, leaving a wide open starting point for Jaire Alexander on the perimeter. This could be the place for the Packers to jump if the price of the right veteran falls in their comfort zone.

Demolition: The Packers stayed on Dean Lowry, probably due to the lack of depth in this position group in general. Even with Lowry on the list, the Packers need help. The depth aspect becomes very shaky after Lowry, Kenny Clark and Kingsley Keke.

Demolition: The Packers are returning all of last season’s receivers and will receive back Devin Funchess, who has resigned, but this group could still use an upgrade, and no player in the position is signed in 2021.

Demolition: The packers might like Krys Barnes and Kamal Martin, but veteran help here still makes sense. This is a group of positions that have not played well in Green Bay for years. Adding a cheap veteran could provide some stability.

Demolition: The Packers have a million different combinations they could use to make up for the loss of the Corey Linsley center, and the internal development of the young players will play a role in rebuilding the depth. Finding a veteran who can play more spots could still help.
