On Monday, Padres added to what was already, on paper, the strongest rotation in the history of the franchise. Their last strike will bring right-back Joe Musgrove back home, in the thick of what is expected to be a flagship pursuit. According to sources, San Diego agreed to acquire the Grossmont High graduate in a three-team transaction with the Pirates and Mets. The deal, which is awaiting medical reviews, will send left-starter Joey Lucchesi to New York, while David Bednar will transport rescuer Hudson Head, Omar Cruz and Drake Fellows to Pittsburgh.
