Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll is already a hot product and his team is still playing.
While the Bills (13-3) continue their season in Saturday’s Wild Card game against the Indianapolis Colts (11-5), more than half of the NFL will not do the same. Their seasons are over and many of those teams have already made changes.
Those moves in the entire league have a lot in western New York. Some believe that Bills could soon lose Daboll’s services and no one really wants that, given the steps taken by Bills and defender Josh Allen in 2020.
However, Daboll has already received interview requests from the Jets and Chargers, so there is a real possibility that he will be poached by another team to be their next head coach.
Even as the rumor comes back more and more every day, Monday during his weekly video conference, Daboll addressed having a crack at such jobs. While he was grateful, he tried to reassure Buffalo that he was focusing on his task.
“I appreciate the question. We have a very important job to do here in a short week. Everything I do with our staff will focus on the Colts, ”said Daboll. “Humiliated by that, but focused on what we need to do here.”

The Bills will certainly not get a win against the Colts, even if they are favorites close to touchdown. Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott, like many, hopes Daboll will not be distracted by scheduled interviews after the next game. Teams are not allowed to speak to Daboll until after the Bills-Colts, but it will remain in his mind.
Of course, McDermott claimed that Daboll could land a concert.
“When you win, people want a piece of winners,” McDermott said earlier this week.
Naughty? May be. Exact? Well, he has a point …
