“We gain or lose drinks”

Johnny Football is back.

The high points and careers in Johnny Manziel’s football career seemed to end in one game on Saturday night for his debut in the Fan Controlled Football (FCF) league.

The former Heisman Trophy winner completed 1 of 5 passes for 11 yards, while adding 67 yards and an eight-port touchdown, including an impressive 38-yard touchdown on his first shot. His team, Zappers, lost 48-44, but Manziel was still having fun.

“The product will continue to improve as the weeks go by,” Manziel said after the game. “It simply came to our notice then. You know, win or lose drinks on Zappers. ”

Saturday’s game in the new 7-on-7 league, in which fans can resort to offensive games, marked Manziel’s first football action of 2019, when he played for the Memphis Express in the American Football Alliance. He returned from league to league after playing his last NFL hit with the Browns in 2015.

The 28-year-old felt that way after the match, but still enjoyed his debut in FCF.

“Looks like I’m super washed, but I still had a blast,” he said. “That was the most fun I’ve had in a while.”

Manziel looked most like “Johnny Football” on the first shot, when he took off on a fight on the left line and jumped from two defenders while spinning with the final area in sight. But it was eventually lowered from inside the 5-meter line.

“Do you see me from behind?” he said. “Times have changed. We are definitely in 2021.”

Manziel was fired twice, including once in the final safety zone. His touchdown run came in a certain read area, keeping the ball to himself and entering from two meters.

“We’re glad,” he said. “This league is fun and everyone here is having a good time, so we’ll keep improving.”
