Wayne County accepts rides at all of its COVID-19 vaccine clinics

WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – Wayne County Health Department is adding two new COVID-19 vaccination clinics, one in Belleville and one in Flat Rock.

This expansion will increase the county’s weekly capacity to up to 20,000 doses administered between a total of four vaccination clinics.

To make it easier for residents and workers in Wayne County to get a vaccine, all county sites will accept residents and workers aged 16 and over from all communities in the region.

Walk-ups are welcome, with no appointment required during regular clinic hours, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., the county announced on Saturday.

Residents and workers can schedule another vaccination meeting with the Wayne County Department of Health by calling 866-610-3885.

Detroit residents should call 313-230-0505 to schedule an appointment with the Detroit Department of Health. All county sites will offer the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, depending on current deliveries and deliveries.

“Our goal is to get as many shots in our arms as fast as we can and make it easier for our residents,” said Warren C. Evans, Wayne County Executive. “We have a vaccine. We have four regional clinics. Now is the time for everyone to get vaccinated. The safest way to put this pandemic behind us is for everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible. ”

The Belleville Clinic will open Monday, April 19 at Wayne County Community College-Ted Scott Campus. The building is located at 9555 Haggerty Road in Belleville. It will be open from 08:00 until 15:00 Monday to Saturday.

The Flat Rock Clinic will also open on Monday and will be located at the Flat Rock Community Center. The building is located on Maguire Street no. 1 of Flat Rock. The Flat Rock Clinic will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

In addition to the two new clinics, the Wayne County Department of Public Health welcomes meetings at the Taylor Clinic from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. This clinic is located at Wayne County Community College – Downriver Campus. It is located at 21000 Northline Road in Taylor.
