Washington gives up Thaddeus Moss, 4 others

Washington Thaddeus Moss The signing of UDFA generated interest due to the need of the team in the tight position at that time and the brand appeal carried by the LSU alum. But Moss did not play last season, spending it on IR. Now he’s on the wire.

Washington dropped the pro-second generation on Friday. In addition to cutting Moss, Washington cut the defensive line Caleb Brantley. The former final election has given up the 2020 season.

Son of the Hall of Famer Randy Moss, Thaddeus was part of the historic explosive crime of LSU in 2019. He joined Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, Clyde Edwards-Helaire ad Terrace Marshall Jr. as a key catcher for the Tigers that season, carrying 47 passes for 570 yards and four touchdowns. Two of them came in the national championship game.

After doctors discovered a fracture in Moss’s leg at Combine, he missed extended training camp time. Washington dropped him with an injury title before last season. He spent the season on Washington’s IR list. Although Washington was slightly in the tight final position last season, the former quarterback Logan Thomas it pierced and covered that need.

The Browns recruited Brantley in the sixth round of 2017, but the former Florida Gator did not see much action as a professional. After recording two sacks in 12 games as a rookie, Brantley has played in just eight in the last three years. Washington has also given up on the wide receiver Emanuel Hall and runners Javon Leake and Michael Warren Friday.
