Walmart is turning one of its North Dallas stores into a fulfillment center for online deliveries and pick-up orders as it tries to find faster ways to serve customers.
The Walmart Supercenter, at 13739 N. Central Expressway, just north of I-635, on the westbound road, will close on March 30th.
The 200 employees will be able to move to three Walmart super hubs and a neighborhood market that is less than 5 miles from the store while under construction, Walmart spokesman Charles Crowson said. Employees wishing to return to I-635 will be instructed to work in a fulfillment center when it reopens in the spring of 2022.
