Walk-ins for the COVID vaccine are accepted Sunday at the Dearborn Center

IUBITI, Mich. – Several appointments opened on Sunday, March 21, for the COVID-19 vaccine to be administered at the Dearborn Consolidated Vaccination Center.

Walk-ins are accepted from 14:00 until 16:00 on Sunday at the location.

Schedules for Sunday can be made on the city’s website by clicking here. Appointments are for people over 50 years old.

Scheduled and incoming people must live in Dearborn or six other communities.

The Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine will be administered Sunday at the vaccination center at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center at 15801 Michigan Avenue in Dearborn.

The vaccines are intended for those living in Dearborn Heights, Inkster, Redford, Allen Park, Garden City, Melvindale and Dearborn.

The Dearborn Consolidated Vaccine Center also opened appointments for Moderna two-dose vaccines on Tuesday, March 23 and Wednesday, March 24, for anyone over the age of 50.

Vaccines are available to designated residents through a collaboration between the seven supported communities in Wayne County.

The masks that cover your mouth and nose must enter and remain in the building. People will be asked to show identification and be screened at the door.

Communities meet the criteria set by Wayne County for those who qualify for a vaccination.
